Visit Kensington Palace, former home of Lady Diana, Princess Of Wales and birthplace of Queen Victoria, for free with London Pass– and get 20% discount on a meal in the Orangery Restaurant. Normal adult ticket price is £12 while a child ticket is £6.
Set in Kensington Gardens in the Royal Borough Of Kensington, this London palace was William III and Mary II’s principal (though not official) residence when in London. Although the palace was originally a Jacobean manor house, Sir Christopher Wren designed much of its current architecture.
Visitors to Kensington Palace can experience an age of elegance in the State Apartments with displays of royal court and ceremonial dress at this most fashionable Royal address, as well as strolling round the pleasant gardens here.
The current exhibition at this London palace Diana, Princess Of Wales by photographer Mario Testino is included in the admission price (and therefore free to London visitors with a valid London Pass!) until December 2007. These iconic images – many never seen before – are joined by her famous dresses, worn by the princess and later auctioned for charity at Christies in New York. It’s an extraordinarily evocative display of Diana in London.
And if all the London sightseeing is wearing you out why not pay a visit to the Orangery Restaurant at Kensington Palace, which has one of the finest tea selections in London, a wonderful terrace - and 20% off for London Pass holders.
