A must see for London visitors, Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and has been the official residence of the British sovereign for over 900 years. The magnificent State Apartments are lavishly furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection, including masterpieces by Rubens, Holbein, Brueghel and Van Dyck. Windsor Castle tickets also include entry to St George’s Chapel, the site of the marriage of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999.

London visitors unfamiliar with the geography of the city may find it difficult to find Windsor Castle on a map of the capital – Windsor is a short train journey from London stations including Vauxhall or Paddington – visit our “Getting Around” section for more details on travel in and around the city.
