On November 26, 1922, the tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered, unlocking the most precious treasures the world had ever known. In 1972, 1.8 million guests visited the London Tutankhamun exhibition, making it the most successful exhibition in London history.

Now, over 35 years later, the treasures of Tutankhamun return to London one last time in the most highly anticipated exhibition ever assembled.

The extensive exhibition of more than 130 artifacts from the tomb of the celebrated Pharaoh and other Valley of the Kings ancestors opens at London’s o₂ Dome on November 22nd and runs until August 2008. London is the only European city to host the treasures.

Featured treasures in the exhibit, which are all between 3,300 and 3,500 years old, include Tutankhamun's royal diadem - the gold crown discovered encircling the head of the king's mummified body that he likely wore while living - and one of the gold and precious stone inlaid coffinettes that contained his mummified internal organs.
